See, this is the shit Nintendo does that deserves condemnation. There's no good reason to not do this (while there *might* be a good reason they're not doing crossbuy, which i suspects has to do with the Wii U and 3DS shops being environments which are more disparate than we realize)

I'm still glad that cross-buy is actually becoming a thing for Nintendo, but yeah, this is pretty stupid on Nintendo's part.

Ign alreadly tried to get a response about this issue, and will update when they hear back.

The response can cause a PR disaster just like the Tomodachi gay issue. Will be fun to wacth.

Don't worry. This game has started a fire with the "cross-buy" concept on Nintendo consoles. People will be pissed at NOA for not supporting this.

 

Complain. Complain with every fiber of your being and NOA/NOJ will listen..eventually. Because this is objectively stupid, and Nintendo looks very, very bad for this move. (or lack thereof)

Nintendo of Europe actually proposed the idea, so it's not "Nintendo" but "Nintendo of America."  

It is still strange that NoA couldn't support it.

NoA is part of Nintendo, and subject to NoJ. If they do something stupid, Nintendo does something stupid.

It's still some part of Nintendo that decided to allow this in the first place.  And even if NoA is subject to NoJ, it's not like NoA never makes a decision without NoJ's approval.
