Well, if you only play any of those games than you are a dedicated gamer not a diverse gamer... but there isn't anything wrong with that, if you just like sport games, fps or any other genre it's good for you, just losing some great games along the way. And one could say if you don't get a high count in CoD you are a newbie and not a real gamer... it just seems that a lot of people want to dictate what is the proper way to be a real gamer and that anything else is void.

Under that definition, if you don't play FPS at all, or sports games, you're not a diverse gamer. I really think we all need to just put the guns down and accept the word "gamer" as meaning anyone who plays any games on any device for any length of time. If a person plays games, they are a gamer.
Too bad it'll never happen because...you know...hate. lol

I agree with you... altough not playing one or two genres in all the genres available is different than just playing just one or two in all of them. But yes, anyone who games is a gamer, the dedication, ability and everything else varies, but a gamer nonetheless.
Yes people judge others too much. I can't quite understand why someone would just play CoD or Fifa, or even never even try both, but that is their life.
