There was a huge focus on cooperative experiences in alot of the games shown at this years E3.
Fable legends(built around 4 player coop)
Far cry 4(friends can join you without even owning game)
Lbp 3 (More emphasis on coop than previous with multiple characters)
Destiny (story is built around playing with other guardians)
Assassins creed Unity(Showed off co-op as a primary feature)
The division (built ground up apparently for coop)
Rainbow Six
Bayonetta 2
These are only the big budget games, and with more on the indie side, I think co-op could become more popular than competitive if they can manage to make it more addictive and a greater long lasting appeal. For example, free on ps plus this month (June) was trine 2, which trust me, is really addicting in co-op (I reccomend buying it/downloading it)
What I want to see less of is like far cry 3 co-op where it's just a limited amount of games that you can only really play and enjoy once, then jump into multiplayer. Where possible, i'd like almost every game to have some form of coop as long is doesnt affect the story. For example, every shooter should let you play with a friend online or offline (kinda like killzone 3) where the second/third etc. player can play with someone, even if he is not acknowledged at all. Sort of like killzone 3 coop single player and knack's coop.
Games like Dead island Space 3 did it well too.
To add, games like Resogun are patching in co-op. The best ouya game released was designed for couch coop.
Did I miss any coop games from E3?
