How about this; ALL OF THEM.
Different sites hold different views. Viewing only a few sites limits exposure to news, and can result in biased opinions.
For example, N4G is pretty much up-to-date on events, but typically the writers display a pro-sony stance.
Nintendo life will be more or less only Nintendo related and opinionated, but constantly updates news.
IGN and GameSpot don't always have detailed news to share, but when they do, both the writers and commentators are divided into multiple console owners, so you'll get the most exposure to different views.
I <3 Classic Platformers!
Multi-console Owner FTW
IGN and this site. When the news is a megaton, I check more sites like CVG or Gamespot.
I used IGN for years until I just couldn't stand it anymore, then I was doing Joystiq for a while but there are so many individual items coming down the pipeline I was missing a lot of it. Now I go to Nintendo Life regularly, and everything else gets shared around, on here especially.
Currently playing:
Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9
N4G, nothing comes close to that site in quality news and great community.
"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"
IGN for it's the least tedious site to use, article and comment-wise. Though they are sometimes slow to update (at least on Nintendo stuff) and some people say have an anti-nintendo and pro-sony bias. Still, the website is fine and the fanbase isn't much more toxic than say, the people here.
Siliconera is also amazing. The site is more niche so the fanbase is smaller so much better than 90% of the sites out there. They will most definitely have news many other sites miss. They seem to post more about Nintendo and Sony rather than Microsoft though.
Nintendo Life/My Nintendo News are great for Ninty news and I use those too.

If you want to see a healthy mix of every kinda news really you wanna just chill here, there are fairly balanced communities of all sides of the "war" and they all dig out pretty much every Pro news clip for their preferred console and all the Con news for their rival companies.
Only issue is obviously Pro news here tends to get less people bumping the threads with it because obviously it's less controversial.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive
n4g posts news from every site. But just make sure you don't read the comments.
