Forums - Gaming - So who still supports EA games?

The only thing that I have played from them is FIFA, and even if you dont like sports games, you cant deny that it has lots of content and as a game is very good.

I bought every EA game for the Wii U...

You are correct that these are the type of ways developers get paid and each one depends on the game actually selling.  If you are good with not supporting a developer who works for EA then you probably should be good not purchasing the game period.  No matter how you spin it, you are only looking out for your own selfish priorities and adding some excuse to do what you want.

We really do not need to go further on this topic.  I had typed a whole case study on the point but in reality it really doe not matter.

Why miss the good stuff if I can do both? play the game and don't support the publisher, it feels so good when we are talking about EA. You are right is pure and undilutted evil and I will never do that to any other publisher, but after all the mistreat we have got from EA in the last few years it feels like poetic justice.

The last EA game I got was Dead Space 3 new and sealed for $23, only for collection purposes.

The last EA game I played was Shadows of the Damned which I played a few months ago.

When a company like EA has Bioware, Star Wars, and Mirror's Edge it makes it pretty hard not to support them.

Yup, I love EA games so I will always buy them

I support the game studios at EA is spite of EA.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

None of EA's games have interested me in the past 5 or 6 years so it's pretty easy for me not to buy games from them. If they make a game I'm truly interested in then of course I'll support those games.

@Bolded:  I agree.  My take is that because of such mentality by consumers, how can you really be upset that developers/publishers want DRM. Just wondering but what exactly has EA done to you or how have they mistreated you?

If a game is good I will buy it. I play games not publishers. With that said I don't really play ea games that often. Most times it's fifa if I do.
