Can someone tell me the differences the two and possibly which is better. They both look really similar with probably minor differences in art style but that's all I can see.

I have every iteration from both. Guitly Gear came first. The Blazblu was created as a stand in for Guilty Gear when Sammy went down, or something like that.

Both games are great, but I like the characters in Guilty Gear more.

When Sega and Sammy merged, Sega Sammy Holdings ended up with the Guilty Gear trademark, so ASW was frozen out and they created BlazBlue. Then Daisuke Ishiwatari negotiated with Sega Sammy and got the Guilty Gear trademark back.

I think BlazBlue has a more coherent mythos, but I like the character designs in GG better myself.

i prefer the more flexible Guilty Gear combo works than Blazblue...

My avatar pulls me towards Guilty Gear but my thumbs pull me towards Blaz Blue. I love them both so much ;__;

But I'd say Blaz Blue is slightly better.

I think people are more acclimated to BB because it's a more recent title and they're familiar with it. Before there was BB, Persona Arena, Aquapazza, Dengeki Bunko, etc...it was GG. I guess I feel like the animation style and mechanics were seen first in GG. Street Fighter, MK, KI and other didn't have it. I guess I'm fueling on the O.G. status GG has. LOL

I've only played Blazblue but man I can't wait for Xrd.
