Max The Curse Of Brotherhood is pretty good and its a freebie with Xbox Gold. Sunset Overdrive and Ori The Black Forest coming this year. You can always just take Project Spark and make your own platfomer!

Halo is a colourful game/platformer? PS4 has Knack, Entwined, Hohokum and LittleBigPlanet 3.

EDIT: Next year PS4 going to get Media molecules new IP, Ratchet & Clank reboot, Few more games from Japan, and Some titles announcements at Gamescom.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Get a PS4. It has LBP 3 and R&C coming up and Infamous: Second Son is an incredibly fun game. Also Driveclub looks great.

There are some legitimate gems you are missing out on, given they are buried in a sea of dog shit, but there are some that definitely are worth playing.  If you have ps+ you even get a lionshare of them in the game collection each month.

Indies cost less and AAA cost more but the experience is same and You get what you pay for it in content.

The Xbox One got a very nice selection for you :)

Already available:
- Dead Rising 3 (loved it)
- Forza 5
- Killer Instinct
- Ryse (this game is just soooooooo nice looking and the story is cool)

On the horizon:
- Master Chief collection. You pay the price of one game and you get 4 gams (very good games).
- Fable Legends, search on these forums for very good previews about it, you should be excited about this one :)
- Forza Horizon 2


Later:
- Quantum Break
- Sunset Over.
- Halo 5 (Halo.... 5....)
