Why? The Goku name is sooo 90's.

One we take quite seriously, lest it make every thread with a controversial moderation into a referendum on mod performance.

That's not true we have plenty of self-requested permabanned users who came back either as themselves (d21lewis, amp316, Seece) or as someone else (pezus -> ninsect, J_Allard -> LudicrousSpeed, padib -> happydolphin -> padib) .

Anfebious always speaks the truth. So I dare to question, are you absolutely sure these "permabanned users who come back" are the same people that the users they once were?

This new amp316 looks suspicious. Almost as if he was a different person. A different user.
