I don't think so. I don't feel the hype for Smash Bros. like I did for Brawl and Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess "realistic" graphics sell Zelda games, not cel shading/impressionist. Nintendo is going to have to do something else to start getting sales.

And it was the price cut that helped the 3DS + the games.

It's not going to see great sales, but i am confident Nintendo will not screw wii u owners by prematurely dropping the console for a restart console like some people suggest here. So i hope the wii u has a few years left inside it.

Wii U must build a strong foundation for their next console, like the ps3 was to ps4. By that i mean, build up their online infrastructure, more diversity in library and maintain a strong fan base (perhaps even growth). Rol (and Pokoko) has been saying this for a while now, and i completely agree.

Looking back at e3 2014 showcase, I am more confident that they are moving in the right direction. Just keep throwing games at the Wii U, until you are ready for the transition into next Gen, at this point, there is nothing else you can do, it certainly is better than giving up completely.

10 Million by the end of the fiscal year sounds like it could be doable. And I think he fully knows about the position Nintendo is in right now.

Well, they would have to average around 70k systems sold per week. At the moment it's around 43k in 2014. So ... no. I hope though they'll prove me wrong.

I predicted that a new console would be out by the end of 2017 and I stand by that.

He's a smart man, and his opinion goes OK with my thoughts.
