but.. but... sony are gods, and theyre the kings of gaming and.. and.. RETURN OF THE PS2!!! the glory days of the ps2!!

Over exaggerations like this are stupid. No one said they are gods or are defending this bad policy, but people should really read the agreement before they preorder/buy anything.Which is why I only preorder physical games.Nice try though.

nobody comes out and says it, but its what people believe in their hearts. SECOND COMING OF THE PS2!! i know you have seen it.

Give it a couple of days and the internet will get their way.

The lesson here? STOP FUCKING PREORDERING SOFTWARE!! It's not like you can't walk into any store or click "buy now" the day it comes out. Hell, it's not like you can't do any of those things the MINUTE the game launches lol.

Why people buy games 6 months ahead of time is beyond me. One of the dumbest things to ever happen in gaming.

Moral of the story to me is be an educated buyer by A. Reseaching what you are spending your money on (aka read) and B. Only buy something at a price you are content with paying for it.

Honestly though, pre-order is the biggest scam in the industry.

they will give refund soon

I hope they do refund the remaining amount and allow preorders to be cancelled.

Amazon allows it and iTunes allows it so Sony should. Especially after how they were all #4thegamers six months ago and how everyone was spouting nonsense about how consumer friendly they were when in reality none of them give a rats taint about you.

Never pre-order digital games. It makes absolutely no sense and you should be punished if you do it anyway. Which is what happened here, so fine by me.

Is this dude serious?

Haha! I was dumbfounded by his statement.

I agree with him. How stupid do you have to be to pre-order a digital game? Unless it comes with some cool limited stuff, there is absolutely no reason to do it, so it serves them right.

Serves them right? Yeah take that consumers for supporting before it's been released!

There are good reasons to preorder a game. You can wake up in the morning and already have the game downloaded onto your system. It's very convenient. Why should consumers be punished for it?

They aren't punished. They still get the product for the agreed price.

Yes, take that for ridiculous support of what is the end of you really owning your game. Screw them.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I love how some fans take chances hammering Sony, whenever it makes some mistake. And then Sony fixes issues and there's nowhere to those be seen apologizing, the same people that hammers Sony in articles like these. WHYYYYY

The fault is on Sony's side here. There's no reason for anyone to apologize when they eventually do the right thing, which they will.

I mean, when a fast food place messes your order up, do you feel wrong or like you are "hammering" them to go back and have them make it the way you ordered it? And when they make it right, do you feel you need to apologize to them?

Sadly the corporate apologizing in this thread is a prime example of why the US will never have the nicer consumer laws other countries have. I mean there are people in this thread actually saying people deserve to pay over the MSRP just because they had the audacity to preorder a game lol.

Maybe I didn't worded it properly, not that I was trying to defend Sony. But the core issue is with the policies because it doesn't happen the same way here in EU, like was said by other people here.

But still the way some try making a whole tempest over something that will surely be fixed, because bigger issues were fixed before. Every last stick to burn onto the flame wars counts I suppose :P

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

How the fuck is getting something you didn't ask for the same as getting something you agreed to pay for at a certain price
