Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony lowers The Last of Us: Remastered price, refuses to give people a refund (UPDATE: Sony has said they will refund customers)

Why did you leave out this part when you copied the article?

This is really a double-edged sword. On one hand, people should have read the fine print before willingly pre-ordering the game so early. On the other hand, it’s bad practice NOT to give people a refund. If Amazon and other retailers can do it, why can’t you?

Because that was the journalist's opinion and I only wanted to post the news story.

Sony is the best though! They are flawless in every way from what I hear on here! :)

Joking aside, this will change I am sure.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

even if they do offer a refund its stupid of them to not allow you to cancel a game

Sony is definitely not the "white knights" ps4 fans make them out to be. They already lied about it being ps3 only, then they price it at $50 (clear money grab), then they won't give people who preordered at least a $10 refund. I'm sure people will still say it's alright because it's sony.

Sorry, but how is $50 a clear money grab? I doubt you even know who Sony's taurget audience is with this game.

EDIT: Never mind. Just took a look at your post record. You're obviously a Microsoft lover and Sony hater.

Not a sony hater at all, but sony gets a pass for everything. Imagine the backlash if this was MSFT. What I mean by the $50 is that there should at least be an upgrade program, they were working on the remaster at the same time as the ps3 version.

You mean like the backlash youre giving Sony right now...... How is that any different than a Sony fanboy syaing the same thign about Microsoft, so youre doing the thing you hate to get back at who exactly?

I believe his argument is more "Companies should be criticized to the same degree for similar actions," since he didn't explicitly say the criticism Microsoft gets is uncalled for.

but they never get

right now sony can do  more "bad" things without high tides

all eyes on ms right now.

Why does nobody read the pre-order clause?! WHYYYY

Classic 'give and take'. Thing is their only giving us $10 off and it's a remake.

Never pre-order digital games. It makes absolutely no sense and you should be punished if you do it anyway. Which is what happened here, so fine by me.

Is this dude serious?

Haha! I was dumbfounded by his statement.

I agree with him. How stupid do you have to be to pre-order a digital game? Unless it comes with some cool limited stuff, there is absolutely no reason to do it, so it serves them right.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

It took only 6 months of sales leadership to Sony became evil again.

Be cool guys, you can always rent it on the PSNow.

I would be willing to bet that if Nintendo or Microsoft tried this buffoonery, they would never hear the end of it. But because it's Sony it's the consumers fault.

Serves them right? Yeah take that consumers for supporting before it's been released!

There are good reasons to preorder a game. You can wake up in the morning and already have the game downloaded onto your system. It's very convenient. Why should consumers be punished for it?
