Which of the remakes do you think is better?

For me It's Wind Waker HD. Ocarina of Time has a better graphics jump, but Wind Waker has a lot more improvements.

WW HD is the better looking one but not the better game.

I dont feel like they did enough in OOT 3D they could have added an extra bonus dungeon or something.

Wind Waker HD, but I haven't fully experienced all the differences in OoT 3D.

better graphics thats it. they really could have done more. its an amazing game as is but it falls a little short since its 16 years old.

Just chiming in to be "that guy" who thinks both of them are dreadful disfigurations of their source material.

And that I am unable to answer which is better as they both shouldn't exist.

While they're no disfigurations to me, I also certainly can't say I think either is actually a whole improvement. There are things I don't like the look/feel of in OoT 3D, from videos and very limited gameplay, as much as I do in the original. And there are a small handful of things both big and little about WWHD that, despite many marked improvements over the original, make it clear to me that it is in no way the definitive version of the game.

Not least among them the poor lighting choices that include the harshness of the bloom on the horizon compared to the very easy to look at original and the awful way the light when opening treasure chests seems to eliminate all semblances of cel shading and makes Link look entirely different.

Well out of stuff I can name off the top of my head, there's the Master Quest included, Gyro, and the stones that help you when you're stuck.

But, I agree, they didn't add enough things.

Ocarina of Time 3D. That Master Quest was fucking amazing, it was like getting to play the greatest game ever for the first time again.

Someone needs to watch the Wind Waker HD comparisons GameXplain made.

And, you can still answer which one you think is better, even if you don't think they should exist.
