so, they have a wii u exclusive and are waiting?
if they released the game, it would have more chances to perform better.

Please list more than 3 "generic grey shooters"

Every Nintendo console with the exception of Wii was $199.99 or less. It's not really that crazy. Yamauchi believed that a software was useless unless you have consoles to play it on. This is why Nintendo use to price their consoles so low. Iwata comes in, screws the pooch on the 3DS and Wii-U price points, and bam...insta slump. Nintendo needs to keep prices in the sub $200.00 imo. |
Yet people wouldn't buy the GameCube even at $99. And taking inflation into account, the Wii U is about the same price as the Super NES at launch.
Though really if they want to get to $199, they probably could, but they have to be willing to dump that tablet controller and I don't think they're willing to do so. The other problem is they've probably mass produced a ton of Wii Us + tablet pads already, so if they removed the pads, they'd have to be able to sell those some how seperately or eat the full manufacturing loss on it.
Which is probably one reason they're unwilling to do so.

You're missing the point the average consumer does not go on the Internet to see if call of duty will be released or not that is what advertising does advise people when your product is coming out ...do you think the average consumer goes on the Internet to see when a game is coming out no that is why you advertise to make people aware smh and to you point it sells on playstation because it is a popular franchise and all CoD games have not been released on nintendo consoles so it not "common sense" to "know" its coming or gonna be released smh ...do you know if call of duty is gonna be on wii u this year ? No u don't because nobody does lol so not knowing if it's gonna be on wii u or not isn't gonna affect sales when it'already known to be released on. Xbox one and playstation 4 |
its a popular franchise. exactly. why would it be any different for Nintendo? YOu didnt even answer my question. Why does the PS version which gets NO advertisment, which you swear is so important still sell very well. It was already leaked that it would be released on Wii U. Where have you been? all i had to do was look. See here where it doesnt make sense, you say the avearge consumer needs advertisment but the Sony versions get none but still do pretty well. How do you explain that? Come on, be real. ONE COD game has not been released on a Nintendo platform that was in 08. So there have been COD games been releasing on Nintendo systems for the past SIX years. Come. On. Way more CODs have released on Ninty systems that havent. THats a tired excuse.

If you are going to invest in games, at least make a decent effort to show due cause for the fanbase to get excited for your software. It doesn't cost millions to make a trailer. Anyway, this is business and they have every right to not invest in the Wii u ,if it doesn't make them money. The onis is on Nintendo right now to make the wii u a viable console to invest in. |
they showed a trailer at Nintendo's e3. its something.
StormSeeker said: I can hardly believe that the CEO of such a big company says a nonsense (not to say bs) like this! Everybody keeps says that the Wii U must increase its install base to make it worth releasing new games to the system, and at the same time keep up creating these games to the XB1. The WiiU install base is presently about 50% higher that that of the XB1, and analysing things clearly, it wil remain bigger for at least the next 1 year, or even maybe forever as hardcore gamers keep prefering the PS4 and MS has already cut the prices, released Titanfall and droped off the Kinect - so now only Halo can help it and I bet it won't be enough... Else than that, and as everybody knows, games like WatchDogs, AC and adventures like this, they sell well for one month, two maybe, and them drop heavely to way lower levels, so saying that they're releasing games now for the XB1 instead of the WiiU 'cos in the future the believe that XB1 will have a bigger install base makes basically nonsense at all! (how much percent of the gamers would buy AC IV now instead of WatchDogs? And WatchDogs in the future against whatever the release later on the year? I'm sure you guys got my point. But Ubisoft's headmaster appearently didn't...) |
were you paying attention. did you miss the part where ubi games on xbox actually sell DESPITE having a smaller install base. If anything that just proves Ubi right in not wanting to support the WIi U.

and none of the games have been anywhere NEAR that. |
Firstly apologies for all the spelling was early morning haha. Glad you could read it.
Yep they are far off which for me is annoying because I enjoy using the gamepad and will miss out on 3rd party experience with it since we know the sales will never get there (similar to how I preferred RE games with the Wii mote over traditional, but the hardware did not allow for RE5 or RE6). At times when I play my PS3 or 360 I instantly look down now lol.

sucks to be you, man. you seem to love these funky control schemes that never go anywhere. Dual analogs are here to stay, get used to it!
But serioulsy. I called this years ago. I always believe that people put way too much stock in pointer controls, problem is the hardware was too weak to actually get the games that would benefit from them in the first place. And no one wanted to keep playing ports of PS2 games. IMHO the control trade off wasnt worth how crappy some of those games ran (looking at you COD). Gamepad is even worse cause no one is even buying that damn system. Hate to sound cynical, this is coming from a guy who still plays Killzone3 and ONLY uses Move. I myself wish that whole thing took off.

That's not a good argument. It's up to 3rd parties to build their own market on Nintendo consoles. Let's just say Ubisoft did build a market, but not the one it seems they want at the moment. If Ubisoft Montreal made a big-budget exclusive for the U, I would shut my mouth right now. |
Ubisoft Montreal didn't make a big-budget exclusive for 360, XBO, PC, PS3 or PS4 either, why should they for Wii U?
And do you really think, Ubisoft didn't try to build a market for the Wii U? That they treated Wii U worse than other consoles at launch?
In the year after launch, Wii U still got a fair amount of Ubisoft games... more than 360 or PS3 after their launches.
Ubisoft has been more patient than any other third party developer... but even they have now faced the reality that their past efforts didn't repay themselves.
Can anyone blame them to focus on other platforms now? (That's a rhetorical question, obviously the Nintendo fans are quite comfortable to blame anyone else than Nintendo for the current third-party-situation.)
