That is indeed a lot of content.
Know what I'm getting it for!

That's not what you said, you said "People cheered whenever sony announced exclusive content", not just destiny..MS conference weas the same..
So mostly an extra map and strike mission. Good to hear it's not too much and possibly timed exclusive. As a PS4 player, I dislike this. If someone else is paying 60 dollars, they should get the same content.

PC gamers make their own exclusive content!

Sony had zero choice but to react, MS was buying all the exclusive content, Sony had to counter.....If MS never joins the console market this crap never exists. |
You can use the same argument to "justify" what Microsoft did last gen. Saying that MS had no choice but to buy all the content to break Sony's PS2 monopoly so Xbox had a fair chance to play. Being apologetic about the situation doesn't really change that the whole multiplat timed exclusive/console exclusive thing is bad for gaming.

You don't even know what a monoploy is...sony certainly has never had one. Windows is a monopoly, PLaystation is not. In other words your argument is, MS does it good, Sony bad, gotcha. Sony had no choice, it is a shit practice, but sony had to counter. Last gen early on the consensus was buy for Xbox it always had extra content, It started with MS and COD maps, exclusive content and horse armour in Oblivion.
You are being apolgetic to MS, works both ways, MS started this crap.

I'm glad you agree with my point that it's a shit practice, but I find it interesting how you somehow came to the conclusion that I'm somehow defending Microsoft or how I think it's okay when MS does it. It sounds like you clearly missed the point of my example. I'm also really unsure what you are trying to argue with me here.

usually the publisher has a lot more pull when it comes to this kind of stuff, more than the dev. specially whe the dev is already asking for a lot (owning the IP). its something Activision shouldnt do, or any other publisher for that matter.
Honestly i very much dislike that i will be getting more content like this while xbox owners dont. if its a great game i want others to enjoy it as well. timed exclusive at least makes sure other people will get it even if its a bit late, i hope this is the case with the Destiny content.

Agree. Do not like this at all. They really should stay away from the exclusive content...most people dont give a shit. Instead they can take that money and build a new IP or something. The problem starts when one platform holder decides to do it then the other is forced to follow. Was also kinda annoying to hear the cheers in the Sony E3 crowd everytime they announced exclusive content for a game. |
i cant understand why people cant get this. oh so your happy for Destiny exclusive content? while MS sure as hell is going to try counter that with another big third party, and then try to one up sony with another. sony will respond and so one. The end result? the PS Fanbase will have exclusive content on half of the third party games, MS will have exclusive content on the other half, instead of all the content being on both platforms.
its getting to a point were its ridiculous, MGS:GZ had exclusive content for both platforms.... its ridiculous.
