Big whoop, it's a beta where you shouldn't give feedback.

What's the issue?

Maybe I am missing something but it seems he got banned not for reporting something to MS but also posting what he reported to Reddit.  In order to get in the beta if it states not to report stuff outside of the program then you probably should not do it and force a ban.  It always kills me when people sign to not do something then do it and act all shocked that the company had to follow through with the penalty.

That could be the issue in this entire ordeal then.

I presume you realise that just because you assert a position that doesn't mean that you have made a compelling argument.

I believe you've written end-user documentation.  I don't believe you've written fool-proof end-user documentation.

Did you even read my post?  I've not argued against anything - I simply identified that there are users who would not be confident performing tasks more complex than simple installations.  Are you seriously arguing against that?

Maybe you'd find the flies would go away if you stopped talking shit.

Lacking confidence and being able to do it are two different things.  I think what I was asserting was that with good documentation, which generally Microsoft provides, users would be able to work around it.

No, gamers sign agreements all the time then feel like breaking the agreement has no penalty.  MS must be understanding that the gamer wanted to do something they were told not to.  This is how little kids think.  This is why companies feel they can never trust consumers because of this type of mentality.  Last but not least its words like yours that fuel people to think its ok to go against your word.

MS is crap because they were FORCED to do what they said they would do if someone breached the contract they signed.
