I'd love a paper mario level editor.

Nintendo should make Nguyễn Hà Đông head of the Mario Maker project. He knows how to make touchbased games a success. Fits right into Nintendos current strategies.

A lot of platformers would be fun, like Megaman and Yoshi too....but I think what I'd really enjoy is being able to combine different games into one, or bringing different elements into the same game. I remember playing this flash game years ago that let you play through Super Mario Bros. using Samus, Megaman, Link, and several other NES sprites, and thinking there'd be a lot of potential in that. So much fun blasting Goombas with the Mega Buster. Something along the lines of a custom NES Remix maybe? |
Advance Wars has had a map creator, atleast I know the DS ones do. What they need to do is just make another Advance Wars game already!
I hope this means they're going to fully utilise The Mario series with the option of building levels for SMB2 and 3.
I'd dream of getting the whole hog though. A level builder where you could build levels for any of your fav NES era sidescrolling games. All the major Nintendo NES platformers (I needn't list them). All the third party ones (Megaman, castlevainia ect). And a ton of obscure Nes classics (I probably do need to list them but I'd be up all night). Then throw in a handful of Mastersystem classics.
...Then allow you to build hybrid games and watch my head explode.
