I do agree these resolution battles have gotten far out of hand, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter at all.


I totally agree about that "parity" thing. I's pointless and only leads to worst discussions.

To be fair PS3 gamers would have wished the only difference was Resolution and a lower, but locked, FPS. Some of those ps3 ports were absolutely woefully done.


That PS3 architecture was hard to open up and use for multiplats. The exclusives on the other hand made enjoying multiplats secondary compared to the exclusives. In the end you got some of the best exclusives of the gen, period and good multiplats. It really did hurt to only have a PS3 for multiplats last gen though. I could barely play Skyrim on the thing.



This would have been better off at 720/60. But I think people have the devs scared of 720 now, so they artificially try to force stupid resolutions. It is why titanfall has screen tearing and dropped framerate, they didn't want to get hate for 720 so they went 792p which doesn't even scale cleanly at all.

Completely agree with you on this. I would far prefer to see devs concentrating on the 720p/60fps. Unfortunately the public is obsessed about 1080p.

I honestly believe this game would have been a better fit for WiiU than for XOne.

They should think about that, I'm sure it would sell well.

Not a chance, his design is horrible (same for the ennemy, Copy/paste from resistance...)

For a colorful art style, sharper is better. You can say that for every game though, but I think for a game relying on its art style (even if the technical graphics are good too) the extra sharpness helps it pop out. So 900p isn't perfect.


I agree.  If anything I think artsy games need higher resolutions more...
