I'm not saying until I get to play the games. Right now, hype alone is probably going to push Brawl WAY ahead, but lifetime sales are totally dependent on how accessible the gameplay for both on and offline is towards both casual and hardcore gamers.
Right now, my lean is more towards Mario Kart for lifetime sales, due to the fact it allows 2 player online, not just 1. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure Brawl only allows 1 person to get online through each Wii console.

“If any creator has not played Mario, then they’re probably not a good creator. That’s something I can say with 100 percent confidence. Mario is, for game creators, the development bible.
Both will sell amazingly. I want Brawl more, but, both of these games will bring in a lot of money for Nintendo.
I think mario kart appeals to a wider range of people. With the demographics of the wii, that could well be an advantage.
@ grey acumen: You can play 2 people online with 1 wii in SSBB
I think Mariokart will. More accessible.
