That's good for you! A blogger has just interviewed Pachter and he had this to say:

You go public when you want the court of public opinion to make a decision. I think EA is saying, ‘$25 was a fair offer. We’ll go to $26 but we’re not going any higher.’ I think the vast majority of Take-Two shareholders will jump at this. I don’t see a white knight. I don’t think Take-Two will be able to do anything to block this.

EA needs to die....

we'll see if i'm right or pachter is   we'll know as soon as monday--market price below or above $26.  adjusted for interest rate over closing, of course.  (so if closing is 6 months away, it'll be $25.5, assuming 4% interest)

and here goes Pachter and his 12$ target price,
does the guy get it right sometimes?

I hope this doesn't happen. As a poster stated earlier, 2K Sports owns EA - even with EA buying up all the sports licenses - but this would hurt every gamer. Resist the man, T2 ... I'd hate to see GTA every year - and R* would be shackled like a slave in the old south.

Please, gaming gods, strike this proposal down!

I think it's hilarious that EA can continue to make these giant acquisitions even as their profits shrink year after year and finally, this year, it's likely they may lose money.

It really speaks to how crazy the current financial environment is in gaming. This company is losing money, their own financial situation has no apparent remedy... and they're buying up competitors for enormous prices? Bioware 800 mil? T2 2 Bil?

EA has The Sims. Now they want Carnival Games. It begins...

or maybe it's because they realize the margins are shrinking for everybody that only the biggest survive.
