I may be pretty new to VGC, but this thread is almost going along with my "limited knowledge" unknowingly, shooting me down about it. While I don't think anyone would openly just say "yea, I enjoy the bait-and-switch", I am getting a response close to what I expected so far. I am the enemy, not the methods in which developers/companies choose to oftentimes misrepresent their games to you to get you interested in it.

It's why I am that guy who hates CG game trailers. Can I see the ACTUAL game? Thanks!

The problem is you are pointlessly singling out a player base. The moment you did that you wrapped this threads credibility to a brick and threw it into the ocean.

When a developer actively shows fake footage, they get called out on it by almost everyone (FC3, WD and Forza 5 to use some recent examples). As long as the developer are showing real footage, few people really care.

If we all complained about every bullshot Sony/Nintendo/MS post or every time a developer shows PC footage rather than console footage it would be a full time occupation.
