Hell PC games are often shown looking better than they ever will on ANY rig.  This is a pointless thread.

Haha, I remember you now.  Took me awhile when you mentioned my channel, you're always talking shit about my channel and promoting.  Funny, to this day, I still have no idea who you are or what your problem is... All I know is you're trying to make an enemy out of me for no apparently good reason, and that discredits you entirely.

However, to be more clear, I watched XBox fans get pissed when they don't get what they thought.  I see Nintendo fans get pissed when they don't get what they thought.  But Sony fans do EXACTLY what I'm seeing in this thread: "that's fine, it's normal".

And the Zelda tech demo has been clearly indicated to be a "tech demo", and not representative of what the final game would look like.  They were pretty clear on that one

I'm not personally a fan of Sony themselves (though have a lot of respect for some of their studios), but i'll answer the question anyway.

No one is "okay" with it, but after so many years of it happening people just except it as reality. Most of the time we do get shown actual console footage, but occasionally the developer chooses to give Sony PC footage/bullshit footage. That's nothing to do with Sony, it's the developer/publisher's choice. If they want to risk the shit storm that could follow, then that's their own stupid choice.

I'm lucky enough to own a great PC set up, so i buy almost all my multi-plats for it. On the rare occasion i do buy one on the PS4 i don't sit there and think "Damn I've been cheated! How dare this $400 console not meet the standards of my high end gaming PC!!" That would be like WiiU owners complaining it can't achieve the same results as a PS4 or X1.

inFamous, Killzone and Knack (lol) all matched their initial showing, with DriveClub/The Order having seen improvements. As long as Sony continue to not downgrade their own games on the PS4 then i'm happy enough.

Maybe they're just more mature as a whole?

First of all, if it was abuse, I'd be banned by now.  We both know you're being dramatic and oddly confrontational in a situation that has NOT personally affected you in ANY way.  Mods have even posted in my threads before, they'd shut me down if they felt it was "abuse", and it's clearly not, as I maintain a singular thread for my talk show...

You also didn't read the original thread very clearly.  I'm not talking about WHO does the bait-and-switch, I'm talking about HOW it's received by the various gaming communities.  Sony gamers tend to be the most complacent with it, and I want to know why.

In the end, it's so far looking like Sony gamers just don't care as much, or they just ignore it.

You can't visit VGC very often if you've never seen Sony fans get pissed about such things. Many of the Sony fans here are brutal realists :P Likewise there are many who simply accept it's just how things are with the industry in general.

There are xbox fans that try to defend the F5 downgrades. There are Nintendo fans that pretend the WiiU doesn't have crappy hardware compared to the PS4/X1. There are Sony fans that pretend Sony's "target renders" back during the PS3 reveal never happened. Every fanbase has multiple sides and opinions with every topic. Don't generalize them based on your own limited knowledge.

The only titles I bought on the PS3 were exclusives, mostly because I hated the two times I bought a multiplat, and it looked like garbage compared  to what had seen as "gameplay" in trailers.  Albeit, I should have looked up YouTube gameplay or something, but it's what actually drove me to take my gaming rig up another notch from mid-range to high-end, and always go PC for multiplats.

Essentially, I didn't like seeing a game, and getting something worse for my money.  I'd be asking for a clearer representation of the footage...

I may be pretty new to VGC, but this thread is almost going along with my "limited knowledge" unknowingly, shooting me down about it.  While I don't think anyone would openly just say "yea, I enjoy the bait-and-switch", I am getting a response close to what I expected so far.  I am the enemy, not the methods in which developers/companies choose to oftentimes misrepresent their games to you to get you interested in it.

It's why I am that guy who hates CG game trailers.  Can I see the ACTUAL game?  Thanks!
