So glad I've had the chance to play the Alpha.  I was really underwhelmed with the E3 videos (another reminder to me of just how poor a job vids do of conveying the experience) but from minute one playing Destiny was a blast.

This game just fits into my wheelhouse - I'm not really interested in competitive multiplayer but really enjoy co-op and Destiny makes the whole single player experience co-op without tying you all into the same objectives all the time.

Strike mission - 3 players, joint objective.

Story & Explore missions - do your own thing while one or two others are doing their own thing in the same session, possibly helping each other out for a few minutes from time to time.

I hadn't pre-ordered. I will now.  Can't give the game more praise than that.

Also, while this has been a great exclusive for the PS4 I think Xbone players should get this opportunity too - frankly I reckon it's in Bungie's best interests to share this experience as widely as possible.

I am a huge Bungie fan who was immediately interested in Destiny when it was first announced. I do, however, get way too hyped for my own good and so I don't think that I have ever experienced a game that has lived up to my expectations, all Halo games included. But Destiny seems to be the exception.

Seriously, this game just feel so right in every way. I love the Alpha and I can't wait to for the full game to release. Bungie has struck gold again. Get hyped!

I watched ustream footage and I thought it looked like halo,mixed with cod.

Really?  I have run into 5 of those so far and got a gold everytime.  I was thinking that you could only get gold in the alpha because I certainly wasnt doing too well at those events...but I guess my team mates were or other people were carrying the load for me

I was alone.

There was a level 8 guy running around the area but he didnt seem to want to help out.

Its more like halo mixed with borderlands...

I finally managed to run past the high level guys and the area just loops around to another part of the map. It connects the area with the rusted ships with the part in the strike mission where you fight waves of enemies...

when does the official end?
