Well, really it just went to PS1 when pretty much everything else did and came back to Nintendo once they and Square-Enix kissed and made up a couple of gens later. Since SE has been so uninterested in localizing DQ themselves and Nintendo has been willing to do all the heavy lifting, I just don't see Nintendo letting it get away nor SE desiring to put it on another system. Just like with Capcom and Monster Hunter, Nintendo has proven itself to be a much better partner. Why change a good thing?

Then again, Square-Enix is ten kinds of fucking stupid. PS4 exclusive confirmed.

Why not both? It's not like DQ is known for its hard hitting ... anything. It could probably be released on Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4 and no one would be able to tell the difference.

I only played VIII, but this should be cool on PS4.

Key word: if. The creator confirmed some time ago we wouldn't see it on smartphones, but now he says he want it on the big screen. Well depends on if rest of Square Enix is fine with that, DQ games traditionally comes out in Japan and then maaaybe comes out in the west some time after. And home consoles currently doesn't do well in Japan.

I thought they would make it for 3DS, but if it's coming to PS4 or Wii U? Well maybe.

Vita doesn't do too horrible in Japan, and there is a thing called Vita TV... Lol I feel I'm getting off topic so I'll stop here.

Heh that's actually true... Playing VI DS now, looks exactly like some VII PS1 footage I saw on youtube. It is a DS game though, haven't seen VII 3DS, won't someone localise it?

This could be a weird case of wii u exclusive in Japan with ps4 exclusive in the west.

With statements like these, it like's people forget that the Wii U has still sold poorly in Japan.

I'm not sure how you can argue the Wii U has a brighter future with all of the games that will be PS4/XB1/PC. Much like last generation, console games will be developed for the West, because that where console games are most popular.

I personally expect it to be on 3DS if a traditional DQ.
