Fans looking to own the "complete" Grand Theft Auto IV experience will also have to own an Xbox 360. So says Rockstar Games spokesman Hosi Simon anyway, in a short interview posted over at Games Radar that has the entire Internet talking.

Upon being asked whether there were any discernible advantages for PS3 owners that could compare to the Xbox 360 downloadable content, Simon replied "not that I can think of."

"They're identical games. We're not hardware makers, and we're not like a pawn between these companies, we try not to be as much as we can. We make great games for people to enjoy on whichever system they want. But I guess if you want the complete experience with the episodes, then yeah, you should buy the 360, I suppose."

Doesn't really matter. I have never completed a Grand Theft Auto game before anyway, and I've owned every single one. The whole point of the game is the exploration and finding out everything about it. The story, as usual will be a thinly veiled attempt to get you to press on. And most people will stop playing the story once they get to the point of unlocking all of the places in the game, then just explore until their hearts content. But again, that doesn't matter either, because I'd rather miss out on some 'episodic content' (that we still don't know what is) and not worry about not being able to compelte my game because MY SYSTEM IS MADE FROM CRAP.

Question is... what happens if the episodic content = new areas.

Seems like if you have a 360 and PS3 you'd be kinda stupid to get the PS3 version.

If there are new areas, then that'd need to be decided, but we don't know what the content is.

I have both and picking on ps3 version because to play with my friends that dont have an xbox. The extra content is a mission pack so it's not worth extra cash.

Which is the point.  If you don't know... are you going to pick up the PS3 version knowing that there is a chance for more locations on 360?

I mean why would you if there was really no difference other then that... and the questionable 360 hardware... which you already own.

I will purchase the 360 version.

And I've gone on record as saying that if I owned a PS3 as well as my 360, I would buy whichever version has the DLC.

I have a 360 but I dont plan on buying this game..only is fun for the first day.. running around beating the innocent up and shooting cops.

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

I have both consoles but I'll be picking up the ps3 version. If the downloadable content is worthwhile, I'll pick up 360 version at a later date for cheap.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why you would do this, raterdrsuperstar.  Unless you're doing so simply to support the PS3, why would you pay for a copy of a game that you already have?

I loved playing Bully on my PS2; I'm not going to buy the Scholarship Edition for my Wii or 360.  I thought the PC version of The Godfather was awesome; I ain't gonna pay for the Wii of 360 versions of the game.
