In IGN's Rewind Theater video, between 7:40-7:45, as Link pulls up his final, special arrow...underneath it you can clearly see a sword lying flat against Epona's back. Check it out!

You need to look more closely then. There's clearly a sword underneath the last arrow that he picks up. Also, I created a thread because it was bothering me that EVERY site I was listening to commentary or seeing forum posts about the game was saying that Link didn't have a sword in the trailer. If I posted in the ongoing thread, my post would've been ignored or overlooked more easily.

Something much easier to find is the fact that there is a shield on the horse as well. I mean, maybe someone might find an excuse as to why you will have a bow and arrow + a shield, but normally you wouldn't.
