There's an early demo that was shown on the floor by Miyamoto (It was the game Miyamoto was playing at the very end of the digital event). It was so early that it actually used Starox 64's graphics to demo the new controls.
It had the Arwing, Landmaster Battle tank and a new Helicopter controlled by two players.

Miyamoto says they've been trying to make a Starfox game for Wii for over 6 years before giving up on it. They've been experminting with the game on WiiU for six months and the game is not going to see a release till at least Q3 2015 with the possibility of it being an EPISODIC game with missions being released at regular intervals.
Still early though, Nintendo still hasn't decided which dev team will develop the title but it's confirmed that Miyamoto is heading the project.
I don't really mind episodic games. Telltale proved that they can work really well.
