Forums - Nintendo - Did E3 convince you to buy a Wii U? Is Wii U officially undoomed in your mind!!!

I think it actually influenced people to wait until next year. In case games are not delayed, again.

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

2014 has Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. U which are far bigger than anything in 2015 (sorry Link or whoever you are). Plus Bayonetta 1 + 2, Captain Toad, and Hyrule Warriors still on deck for 2014 and maybe Mario Party 10. Not bad. The main reason to wait until 2015 IMO would be for those waiting for a price drop.

With the mario kart effects fading away fast, it's doomer than ever

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I don't think it was as good as some people have been saying, but it did convince me to get Wii U at some point down the line, although it's not as much of a priority as getting a PS4.

Too early to bother with a PS4 just yet for my money, the game library just isn't there to make it worthwhile. Same goes for the Xbox One too.

The game library for the Wii U is faaaar superior at the moment. It has the definitive versions of several multiplatform games - Rayman Legends, Batman Arkham City, Resident Evil Revelaitons, Deus Ex and Splinter Cell Blacklist thanks to the GamePad - and some excellent exclusives: Super Mario 3D World, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, NSMB U, NSL U, Mario Kart 8, Wind Waker HD, Lego City Undercover, ZombiU, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Sonic Lost World.

Even if you ignore the Wii U games coming next year and just factor in this year's games the Wii U is a much better console to get.

Different strokes for different folks I guess!

Nope. I was already convinced, but I am planning to get one sooner than I planned on getting it.

Splatoon

Miis confirmed as playable fighters in Super Smash Bros. 4

Star Fox

Bayonetta 2.....and one!

Giant Robot!

A new update for 3 introduces a new driven control scheme.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker

Mario Maker assets are now up!

OPEN WORLD ZELDA DUDE!!!

Other than Bayonetta 2 and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.... all of the game above are to be potential release in 2015. If anything Nintendo as shown that you will have no major until 2015.... Even Super Smash Bros Wii U is schedule for 2015.

Big November release will be Captain Toad Treasure tracker, if anything Nintendo is encouraging you to wait till 2015.

The next chance of convincing me will come with their next hardware.
This gen its gonna miss half the multiplatforms or not come close to the PS4 or X1 versions on the majority of the others.

I don't care which one has more games that interest me now. That's simply not how choose which console to buy. What I care about is which one will end up with the most games I'm interested in (and that I can't play on a console I already own) in the long run, because if a console has the most games now but ends up with way less games in the long run then I'm wasting my money by not looking further ahead.

Judging by previous generations, (and since I never had a PS3, 360 or even a decent PC, so there's no difference between a cross-gen and a next-gen-exclusive for me, and I own a Wii so backwards compatibility for Wii U doesn't matter for me), that console will probably PS4 for me, followed by Wii U and then XBOne.

I already own one but I am so excited for all the new games shown, They look so awesome. The Treehouse live stream is taking up my day. ha ha
