Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Sony easily won. They showed way more gameplay than MS. The only misstep at the sony conference was when that new executive came out. Honestly his part should have been cut out entirely. He killed the pace of the show and noone wanted to hear about free to play crap. I like that the audience of true gamers in attendance gave no applause for free to play.

I disagree completely.

Shocker.....Sony won easily imo on content.

Ubisoft won easily on content. Microsoft had just as many exclusives with far better pacing, and no one who actually attended the conference thought that Sony's was better, unless they have a signifigant bias.

So Edge either weren't there or had a bias? ok. What about people saying that sony had no chance at winning e3 even before they had their conference.
Rings a bell?

No one said you have to post constantly you're excited. But when you constantly post you're bored/not happy and didn't like it, a picture becomes clear.

I was bored. It was a boring conference. It wasn't a good conference. It was 45 minutes of fluff. I'm not excited after the conference. There was too much CGI instead of gameplay I was excited before the conference. The picture is exactly what I painted. They didn't have a good conference, and I said why.

But I also said, here, that if they had cut the conference down to an hour and just showed games like Microsoft did, they would have had the better conference by that one degree. I said, here, that Sony had at least some "wow" moments while Microsoft didn't even have one.

I never said there was nothing to like, but over all it wasn't good, and I'm not going the let pre-excitement taint that.

Sony's conference was better. A lot of flaws still but better. I don't think I was TOO biased, but I came out of that session more excited than Microsoft's.

I suppose it helps that the one thing everyone cites as the biggest from MS's conference, Halo Collection/5, isn't something I care that much about buying even if I did own the system. Personal preference.
Of course I also don't really care about Uncharted 4 at this point, but Sony's presentation had a lot of other stuff that kinda excited me.

LOL seems like EDGE blew their load to soon, Nintendo just won it

Are you trying to be this obtuse? Showing games wasnlt the issue, showing mainly multi-plats, trailers and non impactfull games was an issue. Do you really thing pahtom dust remake, and crackdown come clsoe to uncharted, Bloodborne? Sony had a mroe diverse portfolio with a lot more attention of exclsuive content, and gameplay. Sonys was a more imopressive showing, all the more impressive considering many of there studios still have to be announced.

I agree with this article, other then the slow paced middle, sony showcased a far great diverse selection of games and more gameplay, exclusive content.

a few other sites that say sony won

One of thsoe is a blog and therefore no more valid than a post here.

There will be plenty of sites that think both won.

Which in iteslf is a MS win, considering where they came from in the last months.

Yea, it's a "blog".....in the same manner that Kotaku, Joystiq, etc. are "blogs", and I'm sure you give a little credence to sites like that (I could be wrong). But the guy at ExtremeTech has also written for IGN, Wired, The New York Times, and more. Can't downplay that. Anyway:

http://techcrunch.com/2014/06/10/at-e3-2014-microsoft-played-catch-up-while-sony-leapt-ahead/

Hell, just google "Sony won E3 2014" and you get tons sites of praising for Sony. Google "Microsoft won E3 2014" and all you see is..."Sony won", "Sony lept ahead, Microsoft playing catch up", "Microsoft does deserve some credit" and one link saying "Sorry Sony, but MS won"....but that doesn't count because that's just a blog (by someone who hasn't written for reputable publications), right? You'd think if MS "won" there'd be some articles talking about how they won, but all it shows is mostly how they didn't win.

Nobody really won if it comes to games. They were both almost the same if it comes to this and the reason why Microsoft didn't show anything except games is because that's what people asked for...

Also not sure why the guy mentions stuff like the file transfer in GTA from 360 to PS4 since you can do the same from PS3 to XBO so that there is no point to mention it to declare a "winner"

You think i only mean your comments about the conference? lol i meant your entire history on the site and your comments in every Sony topic. You are welcome to your views, as everyone is to his/hers. but don't try to pass them off as neutral. Because they're far from that. It's like me commenting in every MS topic how boring i find them, serves no purpose except the one.
