Forums - Sony - EDGE: Great daring and diversite seal another Sony win

I definitely agree. In terms of games and the way Sony presented them, I was both excited and blown-away. Sure they had the lull in the middle, but I had no idea about Bloodbourne or LittleBigPlanet 3 and both look awesome! The Far Cry presentation was incredible, as is the fact that people who do not own the game can be invited to play it. Then there was the Battlefield blow-out about being able to join the beta immediately, and the Destiny alpha being available shortly.

Regarding Microsoft's conference I was extremely excited about the majority of games shown. Not because I own an Xbox One, but because I saw so many games that I will be playing on my PlayStation 4. Regarding their exclusive titles we saw games that probably won't be with us until 2016, and that is just too far away. There was just nothing exciting about Microsoft's conference beyond the third-party titles.

Edit: I actually forgot the announcement of the white PlayStation 4 which NOBODY saw coming. I don't even think we had rumours about that did we? I'm just looking forward to Gamescom now to see what Sony's European studios are working on, then TGS to see a more Japanese inspired show. Plus I feel that if The Last Guardian is going to be announced this year it will be at TGS.

I thought it was great since not only did they show us a whole bunch of new games that aren't far off (The Order and Bloodborne in Spring 2015!) but they also showed us what the plan to do moving forward in regards to their online service, PSN+, etc...

It was very diverse. Had a little something for everyone.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I disagree completely.

Shocker.....Sony won easily imo on content.

Ubisoft won easily on content. Microsoft had just as many exclusives with far better pacing, and no one who actually attended the conference thought that Sony's was better, unless they have a signifigant bias.

I don't know about who won and who didnt, but the olded part of your comment is not true. How could you know that? and couldn't the fact that you could even say that just mean you have some bias of your own?

And this thing about better pacing by MS..... I think its cause they just showed game after game after game; Well, the exclusive Tv PS+ live seris stuff could have been shorter and in truth that didnt even have to be at E3 but I think people forget that sony has other hardware and playstation platforms they have to support. In the mddle of all that slow parts they did talk about morpheus and vita TV, and of course PSnow. These are all things that are big part of the playstation family. MS conference being so focused is simply due to the fact that they don't have anything else to talk about. Excpet they wanted to go back to talking about plugging your tv into your xbox and watching football again.

The article is spot-on. And I believe that the objective press will all give the advantage to Sony.

No sony had more exclusive games and content, ms showed more multiplats. Please show how you knwo every single person who saw and attended the conference never thought sony had the better conference? Many did and this site alone proves it, as did many sites, like edge as one example. Sounds liek yuo are the one who is biased. Not everyone who thinks soyn had the stronger confeence is biased, thats a strawman argument.

Do you really think Phantom dust remake and a cgi trailer of crackdown are as big as Uc4, bloodborne?

Sony also had an exclueive bundle Ms never.

Most major game sites are giving sony the win.

Which sites are giving Sony the victory?

Excluding that awful section in the middle it was a pretty fantastic show. They should have made it 90 mins instead of 2 hours and cut the fluff :/

i now await the "edge are sony fanboys" comments

What's your source for this? Your bias has the ability to question the attendees now?

I agree with this article, other then the slow paced middle, sony showcased a far great diverse selection of games and more gameplay, exclusive content.

a few other sites that say sony won

One of thsoe is a blog and therefore no more valid than a post here.

There will be plenty of sites that think both won.

Which in iteslf is a MS win, considering where they came from in the last months.
