a part of me was really hoping to see some footage of the new gran turismo (if there is any in development), or even tekken :X since squenix confirmed that wasnt showing FFXV and KH3 i knew there wasnt waiting for it. like everybody i wasnt blown away a bit from the press conf of Sony, but i wasnt dissapointed either.

Even a mention of Gran Turismo 7 would have helped a little. Ahh, Tekken would have been nice too.

YK has already stated GT7 is in development! A CG trailer isn't going to help them is it? Tekken isn't owned by Sony. Namco might not even be making one at this point in time?

the only game that would make me insta buy a PS4 would be the remake of FFVII, if they announce something like that would blow me away, anything else would be just wait and see if it's worth it.

lol, if they remade it, you'll probably complain that it sucks when it launches

only if they changed to much from the original:P may be they should start with FFIX remake or FFVIII and see the reaction xD

the funny part is they say they listen to fans..and some remakes that ld probably sell like hot cakes (even consoles) they really dont give it a try (lets instead keep trying to revive tomb raider).

Sony don't own Final Fantasy? Do you even think before you type? So how are Sony gonna make a remake? Maybe you should drop Square Enix an email?

Were you really expecting a price drop after 6 months when the console has been sold out for half of them? I think the reason you found the conference disappointing is that all of your expectations are completely unrealistic.

I wasn't expecting a PS4 price cut, but they stated that install base was more important to them than profit, just recently. With Microsoft's aggressive move of a $100 price cut, I thought they might do it. However, a PS3 price cut and Vita price cut were expected by Pachter and myself. As I said "It's high time."

Some of the games I mentioned like The Last Gaurdian and Wild Arms 6 were rumored and reasonable to hope for. Especially The Last Guardian, since Sony just confirmed it is not cancelled. How many freaking years does it take! Just like FFXV/Versus XIII!

As soon as you mentioned Pachter any credibility you had went out the window!

they also didnt show drive club

Forza Horizon's 1000 player clubs and then The Crews' coast to coast kinda ruined any chance DriveClub had.

Then again if Sony, had said DriveClub, you can download it like now, that would've been a megaton.

I'm not gonna pull any punches but some people clearly need to get their heads out of their asses!

Drive Club as has been already stated by Sony is playable at their booth. So why do they need to showcase it again? Why? You can actually play it!

Also Square Enix stated a good few days before E3 that Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3 won't be shown at this E3 so why are some of you surprised by it not being shown? What has that got to do with Sony?

The list of games SE showed a few days ago didnt' include Tomb Raider, but I saw that.

Any list a company shows pre-show is never the big games.  They keep those as surprises.

Terrible? Really?

Sure it was underwhelming but it was by no means terrible.

I respectfully disagree.

Have you seen your expectations? 90% of that shit was obviously not going to come. You bought into the hype and rumors and was let down. Legend of the Dragoons 2? The Last Gaurdian? LOL are you shitting me? Not to mention price cuts for all systems. This is why you don't hype E3. Nothing good will come of it.

I second this. The reason why people get disappointed is because they expect A LOT of stuff, stuff that might not make an appearance. I tried to keep my expectations low to avoid any disappointment, and I was surprised by LBP and Uncharted. I expected a lot of multiplats and I kinda expected Morpheus, but I didn't expect the part where the conference slumped. But they quickly picked it up and ended on a bang.

It wasn't THE BEST, but it wasn't terrible by any means. It goes to show that one shouldn't come with high expectations. Expect a surprise or two, but don't expect a megaton. It's better to experience a megaton when you're not expecting it.

Yes

Very Boring indeed.

Stop playing videogames. Or, at the very least, stop watching conferences about videogames. It sounds like you're wasting your time.

So you are the one to determine when people should watch a conference or shouldn´t ?

Or when something is objectively, scientifically proven exciting ?

It absolutely was boring, had far too much bloat, wasn´t paced very well and the new CEO doesn´t compare to Jack Tretton.

The content was mostly good, but that doesn´t somehow make the conference immune to criticism.

In order to make a sensible, quantitative assessment of an event, a point of reference is obligatory. In the case of e3, the only possible comparison there is to make is with previous e3 events.

Your statement,

"It absolutely was boring, had far too much bloat, wasn´t paced very well and the new CEO doesn´t compare to Jack Tretton."

thus carries no meaning.

e3 Isn't the football world cup. It's every year. Along with a several other major conferences. Games take years to develop. Your expectations of videogame-porn on demand at e3 are not based on any piece of validated reality. Incredibly, there appears to be a significant portion of "gamers" out there who are being terribly vocal even though the exact same point I mentioned applies to them.

Maybe the fact that uncountable hours are spent salivating over the BS "insiders" and fabricated "rumours". There are people that spend hours designing "hypetrain-gifs". Not to mention the months of anticipation and thousands of threads with tens of thousands of posts filled with nothing except an expectation-increasing group psychosis.

Yes a psychosis - look it up.

Just have an objective look at what some people are saying. Not in touch with reality. Perhaps even deranged.

No God Of War 4

No Heavenly Sword 2

No Last Guardian

No Virtaul Reality demo.

Many games that were missing.

Sony E3 show was very disappointing.

*stock response* Is this the 1st e3 that you've watched the conference? When was it SO much better that you set yourself up for such disappoinment?

Sony won handily. They're receiving the best versions of all the multiplats.  The best indies.  The best exclusives of the show in The Last of Us and Uncharted + a Suda 51 exclusive. Exclusive content in Batman Arkham Knight. No Man's Land. And an exclusive an unexpected Little Big Planet in 2014. Sony's show was awesome sauce!!!!! The only people that disagree are those that are apparently suffering from ADD.

Didn't bother to watch either show. No need to. Just give me a list of the info and an ability to go to youtube and watch the bits that I am interested in.

Based on the above criteria, neither conference was all that special. I will say that having M$'s whole show pretty much leaked in the week or two before kind of gave them no chance.

It is near the end of the end....

It was definitely pretty weak. Their big new 2014 game, LBP3, is the fifth entry in a franchise that lost all creativity quite a while ago. Order still looks generic and unappealing. Arkham Knight and Far Cry 4 look excellent, but both of those are multiplats. The Uncharted trailer was nothing; all we have that we didn't have yesterday is a name.

Bloodborne was cool, and it's always nice to see No Man's Sky again, but neither of those are 2014 titles and the PS4 lineup for the rest of this year is looking pretty weak, aside from a few multiplats.

Andrew House continues to be slightly off-putting, but Layden was alright as a presenter. I do still like Mark Cerny the best, and there was no sign of him. And I miss Tretton

All in all, not a disaster, but nothing to write home about. The PS4 will still do fine this year, though.

Yes because MS showed a ton of gameplay for their exclusives didn't they? Crackdown/Halo 5 all ingame! Again the best stuff at MS conference was multipat!

I don't remember mentioning Microsoft. I have yet to watch it in full, so I can't judge.
