Stop playing videogames. Or, at the very least, stop watching conferences about videogames. It sounds like you're wasting your time.
|
So you are the one to determine when people should watch a conference or shouldn´t ?
Or when something is objectively, scientifically proven exciting ?
It absolutely was boring, had far too much bloat, wasn´t paced very well and the new CEO doesn´t compare to Jack Tretton.
The content was mostly good, but that doesn´t somehow make the conference immune to criticism.

In order to make a sensible, quantitative assessment of an event, a point of reference is obligatory. In the case of e3, the only possible comparison there is to make is with previous e3 events.
Your statement,
"It absolutely was boring, had far too much bloat, wasn´t paced very well and the new CEO doesn´t compare to Jack Tretton."
thus carries no meaning.
e3 Isn't the football world cup. It's every year. Along with a several other major conferences. Games take years to develop. Your expectations of videogame-porn on demand at e3 are not based on any piece of validated reality. Incredibly, there appears to be a significant portion of "gamers" out there who are being terribly vocal even though the exact same point I mentioned applies to them.
Maybe the fact that uncountable hours are spent salivating over the BS "insiders" and fabricated "rumours". There are people that spend hours designing "hypetrain-gifs". Not to mention the months of anticipation and thousands of threads with tens of thousands of posts filled with nothing except an expectation-increasing group psychosis.
Yes a psychosis - look it up.
Just have an objective look at what some people are saying. Not in touch with reality. Perhaps even deranged.
