Forums - Sony - Post Microsoft Conference - Does Sony have this in the bag?

Is Sony going to dominate E3?

Hell yes! LAST GUARDIAN 210 54.83%

No way! WONDERBOOK 51 13.32%

Meh, they'll do alright. 120 31.33%

Total:381

Sony can have a better showing, but they'll definitely have to work for it.

It won't be like last year where Sony can just capitalize on Microsoft's stupidity and just win E3 by holding the status quo. This time they'll have to really pull out the big guns to outdo Microsoft's solid conference.

I hope Sony has a great conference as well, can only be good for gamers and the competition :).

Apparently MS had a big third party exclusive...but they didnt. So yeah i highly doubt the 5 - 6 megatons from Sony.

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

The bar is not very high for sony so i say sony will do better.

If Sony doesn't show 2 exclusive game surprises(which they won't because Project beast was already leaked) MS will be ahead.

In the bag? Not at all, MS did have a pretty solid show. As far as new major exclusive announcements go they don't have to do much to win though >.

The conference will be remembered for more than just what they announced. They had GAMES, the things we watch the conferences for. Not 15 minutes of some guy talking about an exclusive partnership with NFL.

I have no problem with how the confrence went and that they showed games and not TV. That was good, but thats like applauding a car company for making cars. Coming into this show MS is losing this race by almost 2:1 worldwide. Thats 2:1 in just 7 months on the market. Yes, they showed games, and yes we watch these shows to see games; but over 70% of their show were multiplatform games and that to me is the problem. Multiplats play better on PS4, they should be trying to differentiate themselves. Then with exception to like 2 games, all the exclusives they showed were underwhelming at best.

I thought this was the best M$ conference. Finally it was about games.

With that said, Sony will need to drop bombs.

Since this was a "good showing" Sony doesn't have to do anything. They can also just do exactly what MS did and show like 3/4 exclusives and fill up the rest with Multiplats.

I would call Scalebound a big third party exclusive.

What if what we see in few hours is E32006 part 2: Revenge?

They're going to increase the PS4 price to $599?

I wouldn't say in the bag, but I think the odds are in their favour.

I'm not sure. I know for some people all they need from Sony is the last guardian appearing in some form for them to give it a 10/10 but that wouldn't excite me in the slightest so I guess its really just a matter of opinion. Looking at past Sony conferences I couldn't decide because Sony haven't had a conference that I could wholeheartedly decide as being better than MS's conference today in quite a while.
