I wonder how this obviously not Fantasy setting will factor into it. I mean dragons and cool headphones? By the way that guy was reacting to the danger it seemed as if it was just a VR game he was playing with his friends.

Well FFXIII wasn't exactly a great step for SE. And FFXIII wasn't Xbox only.

Chances are that Microsoft approached Platinum to make an exclusive for the XOne, nothign wrong with that. Unless Sony pays for the port, there is no chance of it coming to the PS4
Eh. The trailer was a bit underwhelming, but I am interested to see how this game will turn out.

Not when they can't find publishers for these games otherwise. They make games where their publishers allow them to. They are a developer at the whims of publishers, and don't have the luxury of choosing to make games for the audience of their choice.
