That's a little pointless then isn't it. It's an exercise in futility for people who get their jollies out of making others feel bad?

I cared about sales when Sony was losing. Now that they're in first, it really doesn't matter to me anymore. I honestly just quit caring. I guess I'm an asshole.  Now, I just care about gaming.

For me it is more a discussion as to what sales trends mean for the industry. Is it growing or shrinking, what genres are dominant, sequels versus new IPs, etc.

The only argument I've seen comes when tracking is really off such as VGC compared to NPD last month.

I came here to see what games were popular, but seriously, I don't understand, if  buy a lambo and you buy a ferarri, how my lambo sucks if your ferarri sells more??? We both have cool racing cars. Right?

The same as myself. Yet I have come across craziness where people literally "HATE" someone because of their console. Seriously, because of their console. Man, if you had a purple toaster, and I had a yellow one would you hate me?

Competition is everywhere just look around. I am sure you are fan of a sports team or a fan of anything in general.

Well if your favorite console has more sales then it just makes it seem like you bought the better and more favorable console since the most people are buying it. I say sales arguments are fine but if they arguing about graphics, now that's stupid.

E3 last year was the closest I felt to that when the whole X1 DRM discussion often devolved into name calling.  Cannot say I was crazy about Microsoft or some of its policy ardent supporters for a while there.
