Surely the Americans knew it was available on Xboxone but still they chose Ps4 over Xboxone.

Quite frankly I am surprised by the difference. If this happens with a multiplat game. The grapes must be sour.

On the other hand, if this was only the result of some simple marketing, people are even more stupid than i thought.

People must be waiting for the Kinectless SKU if they want to buy an X1. Also if people have to get a next-gen console now to enjoy Watch Dogs, they can do so with the PS4 with its lower price, exclusive content and higher resolution.

Also, announcing 5 mil sold to consumers would be such a bad PR move, practically admitting that their product is selling poorly at retail level.

If they announce any numbers it will be some random Titanfall stats, average app usage, time spent Skyping and similar...

They need to focus the consumer on their plans for.the future, and not dwell much on the past.

I dunno, we'll see. In January they annouced 3 million X1's sold to consumers and if you looked at the sales in the major 13 countries the X1 launched in, the sales didn't add up to 3 million. So many people here said that they just rounded up the number sold. If they've kinda lied before, then I don't see why they won't do it again.

It seems that 3DS has been adjusted down by a lot. It hasn't outsold the PS4 a single week this year.

VGChartz is being ridiculous here, as Nintendo officially published these figures as of 31/03 :

Nintendo 3DS : 43,33 mil (VGChartz 24/05 : 42,97 mil)

Nintendo Wii U : 6,17 mil (VGChartz 24/05 : 6,10 mil)

Nintendo Wii : 101,06 mil (VGChartz 24/05 : 100,66 mil)

So 3DS is probably at 44,1 mil and Wii U is probably at 6,45 mil as of 24 may.

Agreed, I expected Japan to do >30K for Wii U. 35K would have had it squeak past PS4 for the week, and last gen >35K in the week of a major exclusive launch was fairly common.

Sigh, the PS4 got EXCLUSIVE MARKETING AND BUNDLES, in Europe atleast. The graphs are still not updated breaking down Europe numbers, check your eyes and realize that the list in OP is for US. The PS4 versions of multiplats sell the most, that is a fact. PS4 has been constantly undertracked except 1 month in the US, while the Xbone was sometimes overtracked by 100 percent, that is a fact. The PS4 version of Watch Dogs is the superior version, another fact: Xbone is getting a 399 sku in 2 weeks. Last fact: the PS4 has seen a 96 percent boost in the UK, that is something vgchartz take into account.

 

I dunno why you still think Xbone shouldve gotten a bosst like PS4. It's embarrassing having to explain the reasons why PS4 gets a boost and Xbone doesnt. Do a bit of a research on your own dude.
