Forums - Nintendo - Anyone else really dislike the new quick start feature on Wii U?

Nope, love it

Love it. So convenient.

Had the same problem last autumn but it disappeared after one of the OS updates.

The same is true for most of the people in the forum posts I've found about the issue.  Unfortunately for me, that's probably around the time I started having problems.  Maybe a little after that.  Every once in a while Netflix wouldn't connect and I would have to restart the software once or twice.  (And believe me, none of this has anything to do with my connection, because everything else works fine.)  Soon it began happening more frequently and requiring more restarts.  Now it's come to a point where it almost never works, and while sometimes I'll get lucky and connect after maybe ten tries, there are times when no amount of trying will do anything.  Then sometimes I can connect, but then Netflix says it's "having a hard time playing this title" for every title.  It's gotten so ridiculous and I don't know what to do about it.  It's what I watch on, and it doesn't even work.

I sure hope they release an update or something that fixes it.

I actually don't know if they are already doing this but maybe the ISP is limiting the amount of information flow you get through Netflix?  Sometimes they change how fast your Internet speed is depending on when you're using it or what website/service you're using I believe.

Personally, I love it

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

Not many people with you on this one and I am glad.

I love it. Best damn thing they ever did. I would never hate speed.. Not the drug.

This is proof that you can never please everyone all the time. I love the feature, and I'm waiting to hear my gamepad chime at me with important updates (and spam). I can't believe how fast it loads up...almost got in a game of mario kart this morning on my way out the door to work. That would have never happened before. And obviously it loads up whatever you've been playing recently, so all those games you're looking for on your homescreen will be there.

It may take a while, but I think ultimately Nintendo will deliver on the promise of this gamepad and never look back.

I like how you can get straight back into the game you were playing without any fuss. Found it a bit of a fiddle when needing to switch users. Still not used to it, to be honest, I'll give it a few more days.
