I'm not sure why that happened to you throughout the game but I only had a few stutters during the autosaves.

I don't mean stutter, I mean that, like in 99% of games, characters switch from one pose or animation to the next without a fluid transition between the two.

Since the 2005 trailer was pre-rendered, its makers were able to carefully animate each character in a continuous, fluid way.

Maybe you are just getting confused with frame-rate rather than animation.

It's not slowdown, it's that separate animations/poses don't have natural transitions between them in 99% of games, including KZ2.

They are not lifelike in the final game, but nor were they in the 2005 trailer. As this thread is about bullshots, its irrelevant because the animations match the 2005 trailer in most cases and are improved in the remaining areas.

But just out of curiosity, which 1% of games do you think have these "natural transitions"?

The animations in the trailer are far more natural and varied than the more "gamey" ones in the final trailer.

They both look 'gamey' to me, and identical in the cutscenes but ingame its vastly improved in the final version, especially the way they react to being hit. The graphical effects of the bullets and the guns also look like a generation leap.

Run cycles, idle poses, etc are still repetitive and don't blend together in the game, to my eyes. In the trailer it's seamless.

Motor storm reveal trailer was another serious bullshot. The final release was nowhere near the trailer.

What about the last Forza? That was the worst downgrade i've yet to see.

That's actually a pre-rendered cutscene in the final build.

How they managed to fuck it up I'll never know.

Was it? Based on the big screenshot comparison with the highly compressed images side by side and the fanboy comments below?

I absolutely agree, it isn't even debatable if you ask me. The animations difference between the E3 trailer and the Final build of KZ2 is very much generational (as in PS1 to PS2 generational.. or massive in other words). Even today Sony isn't even close to delivering the level of animation they initially presented in the E3 2005 trailer. But I hope The Order, TLG and Uncharted 4 will change that.

If anyone can do it, Naughty Dog can. Uncharted 2 and 3 had the best animations of last generation in my book.

But ND uses Pre-rendered cut-scenes! How could they downgrade a movie?!

Maybe they changed the map's global lightning like SP did with Infamous SS and that made this specific scene looks "less pretty"?

What would a neutral party like yuourself base it on?
