With Sonic Boom on the way and new gameplay footage I'm starting to worry. Even though It looks like a really good game to me I see some things that could turn people off, like the combat. It reminds of the werehog combat in Sonic Unleashed which was criticized by many. Even the enerbeam crap reminds me of how his arms streched and threw people to defeat bosses. Another thing is that the difficulty seems VERY easy. At about 0:57 sonic bumps into a wall and only loses 6 rings. Perhaps only the forward running segments are that generous but even then why even put obstacles in the first place? Maybe rings don't protect yourself in this one and are just for stores? I am excited for that two layer co-op though sonic games always seemed to fail in multiplayer but I have high hopes for this department.

I think it looks average and will wait for a price drop. The whole combat and beam aspects do not appeal to me in a Sonic game.

Loll well to me, it started to look sketchy when they first showed off his disgusting legs but who knows... we wont really be able to tell for sure until the reviews come out

As long as you like the look of it that's all that shoud matter to you, this was never going to do well with critics and the wider audience. Didn't the last get 60~ meta and do 30k 3DS and WiiU first NPD combined? That said I remember relatively good shipments.

It doesn't look like Sonic but it doesn't look bad.

Also, rings work more like a health bar than anything. Due to the increased focus on combat and whatnot, getting hit will make you lose only some of your rings instead of all...

This isn't a Sonic game for the old guard of Sonic fans. It's a Sonic game made to build a new, younger fanbase.
