Forums - Nintendo - Mario Kart 8 Registration Issue

So I bought Mario Kart 8 on the day it came out and the first thing I went to do after work was to register the game. I wanted my 70 coins and a free game. When I opened up the case I was rather confused. The area where the registration code should be was completely blank. I've been registering Nintendo products for years and this has never happened to me before. When I emailed Nintendo about this, I figure I would try something else as well, so I took a picture and posted it on NOA's Twitter account. I didn't think anything would happen but I figure it wouldn't hurt. Emailing them didn't work. They're either slow responders or they didn't believe me (I guess I can't blame them). The message section on their site didn't allow me to send pictures which would have proved my case. I'm really not sure what to do here. I guess my next step is to call NIntendo, but I'm not sure how that would be any better than emailing them.

So I'll ask this. Has this happened to any of you or anybody you know? Also, if this issue doesn't get resolved, is there anyone out there who has no interest in regersting their copy of the game and would be willing to give me their registration code? Here's a picture to prove that I'm not out to scam Nintendo or anybody else.

I'll be honest. I actually tried that. I thought it was a new thing where they had a peel off sticker or something. I then proceeded to look at all the printed material inside to see if it was somewhere else.

Well that sucks...
Maybe you can call them or something?
I emailed them once and got a reply after ~2 days.
Maybe it will take a bit longer now with MK8 Release.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

:O i never seen that before, i have bought a dvd movie that was a blank plastic disc like the ones on the top of a new package of dvds. i would return it, dont miss out on the free game.

How very unusual. Sorry about that.

At any rate, I'd suggest waiting for the email reply. They'll get back to you; it just might take a while.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Eu are very good in replacing codes!

Switch!!!

Have you tried registering the blank code?

Sorry I couldn't stop myself from doing that...Wish you best luck!

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Where did you buy the game? Depending on the place and if you still have the receipt you could maybe make a swap.
