Nintendo fans buy Nintendo games, the Wii U has few exclusives, and there are six million Wii U's sold, I could have told you Mario Kart 8 was going to sell. Infact, I did tell you it was going to sell over in that prediction thread. Mario games sell based off of name brand alone. It could be a piece of crap with a Mario label and it'll sell(see below.)

900k copies sold isn't good for a Mario (Party) game. So your example contradicts the point you're making. Mario Kart sells because people of all ages can enjoy it and there hasn't been a bad game in the series.

Umm.... Who said this would happen though? Not saying lifetime obviously, but FW? Of all the threads with predictions and other forums, there were very very few who thought MK8 would sell so high. Not a good example,

1. Mostly the japanese bought (they love this genre of games)

2. High Install base (well kinda)

3. 1mil isnt really big for this franchise

C'mon now, I get your point but MK8 shouldnt be included in this :-/

Also mostly all Mario games are great (MK franchise and the Platformers)

I knew you do this :P Its not bad, its just beliw avg. Sonic Lost world is bad. Also this game is just terrible if you compare it to the Godly first 2 games. unfortunately i feel like i was let down. Not a bad game still.

I have 3 brothers and all 4 of own both the x1 and the ps4, and all 4 of us downloaded our copies of titanfall and infamous, those numbers don't get tracked. I imagine there are a lot more people out there like us. I bought my initial launch games from amazon and since then its all been digital for me and my bros. I would be curious to know what the actual numbers are when you factor all the digital downloads.
