That being said, i and most gamers, see sales for reference, respectfully disagree.

If you use sales to determine whether something is good or not, I'm sure you'll agree that Call of Duty is the greatest series ever invented and that the Wii is much better than the PS3 and the 360 ever could dream of being.

are u sure that  cod sold more than wii sports, 2d mario and pokemon?

It did not :)

Metroid Prime trilogy made the WiiU the first must-have console because it was backwards compatible.

It is cheaper than the others. I already own the PS4. In fact, I bought it less then two weeks ago. I was not too happy with my Wii. In which I only bought Nintendo games for it. My lack of favor towards the Wii U as compared to the other two is too complex for me to want to share here. The point is that the Wii was a disapointment to me. Thus, I am now wary to buy a Nintendo console so soon. It seems like a console only worth buying at the end of the generation so that I know it will have enough games to sastiate my gaming thirst. That and I still am playing games on my PS3 and 360.

I hear you. I feel that same way, sort of. My disdain for the PS2 runs so deep that I refused to buy a PS3 on principle, and by the looks of it the rage still burns to where I  won't buy a PS4  either.

I agree.

After owning every single Nintendo console on their respective launch days, the Wii U was of little interest to me until the MK8 bundle with the free game were announced.

I picked mine up yesterday.

Eh, I've played enough Mario Kart in my lifetime and I am neither a pikmin or Zelda fan. Maybe once a full fledge, pokemon adventure games come out, i would really get behind it. No doubt that is a great value though.

I like MK8 but sorry it's not the best Gen 8 game. It's just finally a Gen 7 worthy Mario Kart which looks amazing compared to the Wii, and there's any number of better games on PS3 & 360 IMO.

I guess the question will be which PS4 & XB1 games are better than MK8... so for my preference I would rather play any of Infamous, Tomb Raider, Need for Speed Rivals, Titanfall and even FIFA & NBA2K14 than MK8.  I'd also rather play SM3DW on Wii U.

My 8th gen collection

its easily the one with most games out there, but then again with almost 2 years on the market (versus consoles that have only been 6 months out) its something that you would expect... then again i wouldn't buy a Wii U for MK8 i would buy it for The Wonderful 101, X and Zombie U, because i love me some great new IPs. (i am personally tired of Nintendo "mainly" doing the same games generation after generation, and yes i know they do throw up some new IPs every generation as well but its always a "little here and a little over there", its obvious that they mainly focus on making more games of their already established franchises like Zelda, Smash, donkey Kong, Mario etc...

All im saying is that i would like for Nintendo to focus half their attention on bringing more new IPs and half of their attention on their already established franchises

Pikmin 3 is a better reason for owning a wii U.

Mario Kart 8 is easily the best game in the franchise- the best graphics, the smoothest gameplay, the best online, the most variety in characters, courses, karts, etc. Not only that, but Nintendo has decided to give a game of equal value (if you choose either Pikmin 3 or WWHD), for absolutely free.

That's $60 for $120 worth of games that are all better than any other next-gen game currently available on other consoles by a landslide.

Not only that, but Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle knocks another $30 off the game price, and adds in a steering wheel and limited-edition controller that are worth $45 by themselves, if not more, for free.

That's essentially $330 for both the console and $165 of games/accessories.

You pretty much get the console (and the Deluxe version, at that) for $165. That's easily a better deal than the PS4 (at $400) or the Xbox One (at $400/$500), and this is coming from someone who owns both a Wii U and PS4.

If you love Mario Kart and Nintendo games in general, now is the time to get a Wii U. If you don't, you are missing out on the best value in gaming currently.

Id could say total opposite on the consoles worth value, but atleast you said opinion and fair nuf it is just that.  Your view tis all.

Intrestingly nuff best graphics, best online are you sure ? casue for years iv heard form certain people such things dont matter.

Personally will get Kart when i trade in watch dogs, hope it lives up to the hype.  But im going in with low expectatiuons, Ninty fanbase has been to desperate for a savoir to trust their take on Wiiu games.  But it is kart, shoulndt dissapoint.

I have a very good gaming PC and Mario Kart 8 graphics are lower than what I'm use to with that, but so are the graphics from games on the other two 8th gen systems.  That being said, graphics alone do not make a great game.  If people want to stay locked away in their bedroom or parents basement by themselves, sniping people at 1,000 yards, then by a different system.  If you want to have an absolute blast with friends and family in the same room, Nintendo makes the BEST local multi-player games...Period.

Stop hating and start playing.
