Awesome! Glad to hear you decided to get Wii U!

As for the extra game, I would recommend Pikmin 3 since you said you thoroughly played Wind Waker. Though, I also did and found the remake absolutely wonderful.

Make sure you call Amazon or send them an email to complain. I did that when my Resistance 3/Sharpshooter bundle was late and got a $50 credit. I'm Prime, though, and I told them that I bought Prime because of the release date thing with games, so that might have helped.

It's the first time I had a problem with amazon deliveries. I'll just send it back and everything's fine.

Or maybe I'll just keep it to have a spare.

I don't think I will regret it anytime soon. Maybe MK doesn't qualify a purchase alone but MK, SM3DW, Bayontta 2, X and Zelda U sure do.

I did as well, but WWHD is worth it, hands down, regardless of how much you played it.

Interesting tale.

I don't get why people focus so much on random visual stuff that has nothing to do with the game. Seriously. I think the game looks gorgeous and it plays phenomenal. Ah well. Now that kids are off and all to bed. Back to karting. 50cc is done. On to 100cc.

Visual stuff has nothing to do with the game? I thought this was an audio visual medium.

In comparison to contemporary games this game does not look georgeous. It does look good in comparison to last gen games but that's not what people should strive for.

After playing a bit longer I also have a few other gripes.

Why aren't they showing the times after races anymore?

Why isn't there an option where I can choose other button layouts?

Why isn't there an option to display the track information on the screen?

Why isn't there an explanation for the different kart and tyre options?

Why doesn't have Toadette her cute voice she had in DD?

Are those questions unrelated to graphics enough that they are valid in you eyes?

You're grips on graphics don't affect this game at all.

While that would be cool, you do get option to use gamepad, proController, wiimote, wiimote/nunchuk, classiccontroller, wii wheel, motion or stick (were applicable)... and so on. Plenty of choices.

If you play with any contorl option other than gamepad... the gampad shows this info.

Press plus button (+) on that screen and it does.

So no button layout options at all. Generally no options menu.

I only have one set of eyes and it's not really that smart to look away from the screen during a race.

I want to see the times against my oponents in every race. previous MKs had that. This one does not.

Thanks for the tip with the +. That helps a lot.

I fail to see how MK8 is better than DD. The gamplay is the same but with less features.
