Nintendo alone no matter how well they do with their basic IP simply can't replace the entirety of the third party developer community.
Things like the first proper next-gen Madden NFL, FIFA, are just as big for the XBox as Smash Brothers is for the Wii U. And the fact is, the XB1 simply has more impact-making games coming out for it because they have all 3rd parties on deck and XBox buyers primarily buy third party games.
Batman Arkham, Madden NFL, FIFA, Need For Speed, Halo Collection, Sunset Overdrive, Assassin's Creed, Destiny, Call of Duty, etc. are all games that will impact XB1 sales this fall.
Bayonetta 2? X? I doubt it (see: DKC, Pikmin 3 not doing much). The Nintendo fanbase has sadly became a very small audience that doesn't even buy a lot of the software Nintendo themselves pushes out. It's Mario Kart/Smash Bros./Zelda/Mario or nothing in many cases, and those are only a small handful of IP.
