I'm pretty sure it has. Doesn't make it any less true. I was hoping Nintendo's "Digital Event" would do something like this. Knew it was too good to be true. Nintendo doesn't do "smart."

This is more "Direct" than Nintendo? Hey, instead of actually playing the games we're talking about, you can go out of your way to watch the same video you can watch at home, only bigger and louder.

I disagree. Nothing is more direct than hands-on demos across the country.

it generates much more hype than Nintendo's Direct. 

however if we are talking about which one reaches the consumer in a more direct way its of course Nintendo's method, because frankly thats what it sets out to be.

I thought the same thing. Big companies insist on publicising him because he's easy to control. Just seeing his face pisses me off.

Again, it's kinda cool and obviously is done for simple hype, but I don't think it's that similar to Nintendo's... events.
