hmmm, I am thinking M31's blackhole (which is the much bigger one) will most likely overtake ours, it will again create another spiral galaxy, eating up a lot of the stars. Let's just say, I don't envy whoever had to live through that period.
Well we don't know how massive our blackhole or m31s is. I forgot what I read about when two or 3 blackholes meet but I think if there are 2 they fused but if there are 3 the third one is flung out and the other 2 fuse. I will try to see if I'm right. This is all theory anyway. Blackholes are really complicated since they basically are singularities where space and time don't exist.

no, sun will BURN OUT in about 200 million years (from now, not sure, I need to look up the H-R diagram to give you the exact time). I believe 4.5 billion is the age of Earth, Sun is probably formed a little earlier than that.

Well the sun only used half of its hydrogen and is a little over the age of the earth which is 4.5 billion years. SO that means if it used only half then you have another half which is 4.5 billion years to go.

well, when Sun starts to run out, it will expands out, that will probably engulf earth, I'm looking it up as I'm writing this.

As for blackhole, I've always thought there's only 1 in each spiral galaxy. and the size of it dedicated how big the galaxy is (bigger blackhole will be needed to move the whole galaxy with dark matter/energy), *shrugs*, I'm not exactly sure, but when it gets to that many stars colliding, it intrudes into the realm of chao theory and god knows what will happen.

*edit*
you are right, Sun does have 5 more billion years to go. I'd say 4.6, before it goes crazy with Carbon-burning.

I wish I had a pet black hole.
Or maybe I could use it as a power source instead, like the Romulans.

^ Yeah I found out that if there are 2 black holes they emerge to create even a more massive one. That is how supermassive black holes were formed by two regular black holes emerging then 2 more then 2 more until it was very large. That choas theory is interesting I don't know why I have never heard about it before now. I think something similar to a type IA supernova would happen if two stars collided just on a smaller scale because there isn't a white dwarf in the equation.

I don't think black holes can work as a power source. Doesn't it just suck everything into a singularity?

Besides, it even punture the space-time and in this world of 4D where time only goes 1 direction, you might just end the world we know as it is if you mess with it. :P

Well just feel happy that there are mini black holes all around you right now. Pick one and name it.

You've never watched or read Jurassic Park???

But if it works in Star Trek, it must work in real life. :P
