Forums - Gaming - Rayman Legends has some of the most retarded AI I've ever encountered

It's a really excellent game in almost every area, but one thing lets it down big time.

So I'm playing one of the Murphy  levels, and I have to move a shield to protect an AI character as they move through a level.

First they wait for me to put the shield in front of them to use as a platform, then they leap over it and plunge to their death. (It wasn't even moving)

In the next section, I have to block lava from falling on them, but because of its fluid physics you can only hold it for about two seconds before it flows around your shield. I block the lava, and this braindead twat of an AI, instead of taking the opportunity to run safely passed, runs backwards and forwards on the spot underneath the lava pipe, until it overflows and kills them.

The AI has the self-preservation of a pyromaniac scarecrow, and it's insanely frustrating to fail over and over again cos these suicidal morons actively screw over when you do everything right.

There's a reason everyone and their moms hate Murphy levels. They suck.

I guess you're playing on WiiU. On PS4 you controlled Rayman and the AI controlled Murphy with a button press. The Murphy levels were easy but very boring.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Those murphy levels are awesome... but you have to play with friends for them to be playable.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

LOL true

i can understand that!

Which version are you playing? I've played the PS3 version, and you always control the actual character, while you only have to trigger murphy's actions with a button, he moves automatically. Works 99% of the time fine.

The Vita version however, you control Murphy with touch controls, just like you say. And yes, sometimes the AI player acts like a retard, which is especially frustrating if you're trying to 100% al levels. Another problem was that sometimes my fingers obscured the obstacles lol. Overall it felt like a cheap mobile game...

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Happened to me too. You have to exploit it in some way, like moving the shield continually as the character jumps.

Yep.

Well, murphy levels are meh on other consoles, and take quite a long time (But with screams and laughs) in local coop.

It's mostly annoying IMO

Reminds me of the extremely retarded A.I in GTA5 and the cheating cops.

Games being hard I am okay with  games being artificially hard because they are just dumb  is bullshit :)

LMAO!!! that is funny!

yeah its one of the best 2d platformers of this gen so far.
