Forums - Gaming - To trade or not to trade...

Curious to know, what is everyone's process for deciding whether or not to trade-in a game or not.

I'm currently struggling over some games because of the $ back from best buy + the fact that its likely i wont want to play them again, but most of the time with nintendo games i end up regretting selling them. the 3 games are:

Yoshi island DS -$10.50

New yoshis island - $24

kirby triple deluxe - $16.50

your thoughts on trading these in would be great, but I'd also like to know with games in general

I always trade in games that I know I'm never going to play again. I rarely regret trading them in (with a few exceptions) even if the money I get back is low. It's better than holding on to a piece of plastic that I'll never get any enjoyment out of again. That's the main reason why I still prefer retail copies of games.

I'm actually going to start selling my old games and movies on Amazon. I'll get more money for them that way.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

It's simple, I NEVER trade in games. First because for me it's a collection (and nintendo games are usualy the kind of games you wanna keep in that collection), and second because trading in is basicaly letting a store both screw yourself and screw the publishers.

Never trade-in.

Your best bet, if you truly never wish to play your games again, is to trade or sell yourself using trading posts, ebay etc.

Never trade-in. I sometimes play older games out of pure nostalgia, even if they sucked. Also I like collecting them.

Probably one of the main reasons I'm so pro-digital.

Maybe you could try ebay if you don't mind waiting and the trouble of selling it yourself.

I trade in CoD Ghost for Wii U a week after i buy it. Games that are bored or not even getting support is the ones that I trade in.

If I know I'm never going to play it again then I trade it in. If the game has replay value then I'll keep it.

Trade-in always. It may take a serious mental paradigm shift but once you move away from that materialistic mindset you'll save some serious cash. I paid off my PS4 using ONLY in-store credit. Taking advantage of Best Buy's pre-order offers and trade-in bonus usually meant I only paid 1-5 dollars max for a game in the end. Other times, though rare, I actually profited from a trade in.

It's worth it unless money isn't a problem for you. The main reason, no the only reason you should trade in is because it saves a LOT of money over time.

I only trade in games I don't think I'm going to want to play again. Otherwise I keep them
