I don't consider a ref who gives away 2 goals and doesn't give a penalty to the other team an "earned" win. Netherlands also attacked a lot and yet they didn't make anything in until minute 90.

This should have been a 1-1 for the first 90 minutes at least.

Don't forget the obvious red for Thiago Silva and the penalty Robben should have gotten in the 2nd half when the Brazilian player obviously jumped him right in his back.

Deserved? how the hell can that be deserved when the first 2 goals were because the ref basically gave them to the Netherlands?

Brazil played like shit, but the Netherlands played like shit as well.

Netherlands was the least shittiest team then. They dominated all of the first part and even when brazil started seriously attacking, they didn't make anything in. Netherlands earned that win, end of story.

Well then, Silva should have gotten a red anyways and Brazil still would have lost. You also seem to forget that while they made their, in your opinion, "real goal" at minute 90...they still scored, something brazil was too incompetent to do.

The ref was shit, but you play the hands you are dealt with, not mope around and blame it on the ref being one sided.

lol, the pressure was just too much. To be fair, Brazil will most likely be back. Too much talent in the pipeline. They are still winning in the underage leagues so they still have lots of talent to funnel through. Need to work on those tactics though and bring "jogo bonito" back.

Gratz to the Dutch. I hope they can rebound with the prospect of no RVP, Robben or Sneijder for the next WC.

That was a boring match. At least Netherlands won, but it was kinda obvious that they would win.

Brazil can't match great teams anymore, we are at best topping the regular to good teams share.
That's reflex of the money and politics way that CBF manage it, only making it play against weak teams so it can destroy then, but when they face strong teams they can do nothing at all.
How I wanted to see Brazil vs. Germany, Spain, Argentina, Netherlands, Italy, France and the likes...
I cheered all I could, but I just feel worse than what I was feeling before the confederations cup, the team spirit made us beat Italy and Spain there, but the world cup demands a strong team, and when you lose the only guy that could change things that the whole team together can't... heh, you all see what happens.
I'm cheering for Germany as I would do anyways if Brazil was to lose, they are the best team and they deserve to win, and I hope for a great game tomorrow. Get the 4th star Germany, you deserve it more than Italy.

Couldnt agree more, yeah go Germany.

This was the only good thing that came out of that match

Nintendo and PC gamer

Im gona go watch a video of some of Brazils matches from 2002 and 1970 to remember myself how good were the days when my country knew how to play football.

Anyway.

Good game everyone. Thanks Brazil for hosting an awesome World Cup. Thanks for the cool Brazilian fans I've seen in all the matches. It's unbelievable we could be 3rd, expectations were low with this inexperienced and young team. I hope the final tomorrow will be amazing. I'm rooting for Germany, as I would in any match unless they play against us, and I'm pretty confident they'll make it. Go Germany!

The red shouldve been given thats true, but that play on the second half Roben controlls the ball with his arm prior to getting tackled so it wasnt a penalty it was Robens foul first.

Either way, overall it was a terribad reffering, the ref made countless other less important mistakes for both sides.
