Germany should play the same formation.

4-2-3-1

lahm - boateng - hummels - howedes

khedira - schweinsteiger

muller-----kroos-----ozil

-----------klose

Make sure to not play a high line like they did against Algeria. Algerians were relentless in the long ball counter attacks. Argentinians will be even more punishing.

That's the same as last match but it's still far from perfect.

Get fucking Mertesacker in ther and push Boateng to the left. You just can't leave Höwedes alone with Messi.

A penalty shoot out after a nil-all or score draw would be a great way to end the tournament.
Germany have won all 4 of their WC penalty shoot outs.
Argentina have won 4 out of 5 losing once to Germany in 2006.
Germany's 100% penalty shoot out record at WC would be on the line.
Argentina would be seeking redemption from losing 2006 penalty shoot to Germany in Germany.

Penalty shoot outs are best and fairest way to decide winner and loser from drawn match. Penalty shoot out should be used to decide drawn matches, shoot out adds to the drama and excitement of the match.

It isn't. Football is a team sport, penalties have nothing to do with a team sport, it's all about individuals.

This will be an interesting final.

It would have been much more interesting with Netherlands in it. :(

Argentina isn't that great of a team so Germany will most likely win, which doesn't make me excited for the final.

Argentina is just as great as Netherlands if not greater. Either team would have been beaten by Germany I believe. Happy with Argentina's win though. Getting to the final is not bad, and I reckon they have a 25% chance of beating Germany. I'm not gonna be optimistic though.

If Dutch reserve goal keeper and hero from last match played instead, it may have been different outcome.

So you want to decide the game then by another 30 minutes extra time?

Penalties are more than fair. Football is about scoring goals. A team who can't do that in 120 minutes time and not even in the penalties has no right to a victory.

If a team has trouble scoring a single goal in 120 minutes it obviously needs help with that. Hence penalties are actually a reward ;)

in a league/group set up it's unfair to the teams that actually manage to win within the 90 minutes to have a pen shoot out to decide drawn matches
