And it annoys me how the media constantly fellate Neymar.

Focus on the other guys who scores the other penalties as well, you morons. Focus on Cesar who actually won that shootout for Brazil with his 2 early saves.

The love affair and open admission that they all want Brazil to win from the UK pundits on TV is nauseating and puzzling.

...which goes directly against what Howard Webb wanted today

Because their perfomance was lackluster? Heck, Brazil's first goal wasn't even scored by David Luiz! It was an own-goal!

It was lackluster, but it was still better than Chile's performance. The better team won today. The better team wasn't great, but it was still better.

Yup. Brazil was the better team! Despite passing the ball at times like the players were blindfolded, despite having lower ball possession, despite some players shooting like dumbasses and missing some obvious goal opportunities ( * cough* Hulk * cough*).... Despie all that shit, Brazil was still the better team!

Like people said, the "better team" is not always great. Brazil had some AWFUL pass mistakes, and every single chilean attack came from Brazil's mistakes. And yet they failed to score a second goal. If Chile was better, they could've killed the match quickly.

Guys I want to say that despite all odds I survived the match. I almost had a hearth attack at least 3 times but Im alive.

Brazil played like crap but i dont give a flying fuck were trought.

With this 3 times in a row losing with brasil in second phase :c anyways it was a great match, now I'm supporting Uruguay and Argentina!

He got all the big decisons correct imo.  Clear handball (so so so clear)  and no penalities for either team.

he could easily have booked Neymar (he would have missed the qrt final) and Fernandinho... but didnt.

I dont think that handball was clear, its open to interpretation realy, the ball hits his shoulder and kinda glances the arm. It OK that he consider it a handball I tought the yellow card was a bit too much tough.

Julio Céar saved our hidse so everythign si fine hehe.

Chile soooo close. It was evened match, both team made a huge effort, but unfortunately only one passes... Next round is going to be really hard for Brasil...

He deleted a clear goal by Hulk, thus preventing them to win. Had the goal been recognized, there would be no penalites to begin with :/

Also he didnt give an insanely obvious free kick to Brazil when Neymar got fouled near the end of regular time

Germany and Ghana ended in a draw, does that mean Germany is not the better team?!

I still blame Carl.

Youre German, right.

I said you would win the thing >:)

Who can Brazil end up playing against next, again?

The winner of the next game - Colombia vs Uruguay

Right. I can't see them losing against either one. They will maybe drop out in the semi finals then?

I really don't get the hype around Neymar, he's not even that special. He's good, sure, but they make him out to be extraterrestrial.

He's really fast and seems to work really hard. He also scores goal. I'd say he is their most important player by far.
