I have not seen Colombia playing yet so maybe I'm underestimating them. Hmm Uruguay don't have Suarez either

I love reading the first few predictions and seeing how no one had the US in the 16. haha.

Allot of you guys are predicting a all European final..
A euro team has never won the cup on the american continent, and I doubt that will change.
This is Brazil's and Argentina's cup to loose.
But this cup has been full of surprises we will see.

Costa Rica and Greece. Two evenly matched teams. I can not predict this match. Greece could win this match.
Most faves will win Round of 16. I am hoping for Uruguay and Nigeria to beat favourites Colombia and France.
Win without Suarez would be a huge task but Uruguay will change their game plan to adapt to Colombian game and play a more defensive game to score a counter goal or force a penalty shoot out. Forcing a draw and 50-50 chance on penalty shoot is the best tactic for weaker team trying to beat stronger opponent.

Greece and Algeria have never reached the round of 16 on an American continent. So I guess that's impossible too.

4 years ago European teams had never won the cup outside of Europe. That changed, so why can't this? |
Maybe because there has only been 2 cups outside of Europe and The Americas?
Brazil's record at home is just to good, they are the clear favorites to win this.
And I really doubt the likes of Mertesacker and Howedes will stop Neymar and co lol (see ghana game)
However Holland does have a good chance of making the final if they beat Mexico.
Argentina is still not convincing at the back.

Regardless it still shows that things change and records like this are likely to be broken sooner or later. Brazil definitely have a good chance at home but it doesn't guarentee anything... |
Yep I know, I think Brazil is going to have a tough time with Colombia (if that match happens)
We will see how it all unfolds.
I placed a bet on Argentina to win it all before the tournament...
And now I'm getting worried seeing they are still weak at the back lol.

Let's see:
Brazil 2 - 1 Chile
Colombia 2 - 1 Uruguay
